Well here we are again on the road, back in Georgia and North Carolina, On May 7th, we participated in a car show in downtown Murphy North Carolina, they shut down the whole downtown section of the roads leading into and out of town, there were vendor with BBQ sausage, shaved  ice.

The local dance club delighted the crowd with many dance routines. The DJ played tunes all day and had drawings for door prizes and at 3pm they had a 50/50 drawing, one of the car owners was lucky enough to win the $136.

There were 4 trophies one for the mayors choice, clubs choice, Ladies choice and peoples choice.

There were 96 cars lined down the street, there was lots of people walking up and down the street enjoying all the great cars. The Mayor of Murphy North Carolina, Bill Hughes, was on hand to present the mayors trophy, the others were handed out by the club member who was in charge of this event and I am sorry to say I cant remember her name but she did a great job coordinating all the activities, prizes and events.

We miss all of our “Cruiser” friends in Florida, but we carry on the traditions that brought us into this great hobby.

We will send reports form any other “Cruise-In’s” or car shows we attended.

Until then we send our best..

See photo page in left column.

Ron and Shirley Hood and Mary too.
