I have decided to to put the 2005 - 2012 (the last 372

May 17th: This upcoming Saturday (May 19th) would have been
our 495th contiguous and as the exile continues, the upcoming Anniversary Cruise
(June 2nd) will be the first one that I will miss in more than 20 years,
Linda hasn't missed one since 2003 and she had been to a few before we were
together. It is a shame that the management of Old Town has such a failure
to communicate and continues this "punishment" as our reward.
May 12th, 2012 We attended the "2nd Friday of the month
Cruise-In at Mill Creek Mall in Kissimmee" last night, this is near the intersection of
Vine Street and Michigan Ave. in Kissimmee. From 5:30 to 8:30. The music was
provided by WJBJ and
Butch was at the controls. I took a few
photos and they are posted on Facebook for now at
https://www.facebook.com/SBCNO. It was a very nice event, beautiful weather
and great perople.
May 11th, 2012: The fourth week of exile and still no
communications from them, it is hard to work anything out when one side does not
cooperate!?! I hope to start posting the "Out of Town" events soon. Ian Mahoney
has already sent us a few stories and photos from the UK shows. Happy Birthday
to our grandson, Gabryel, he is 9 today.
May 7th, 2012: We attended the ARRG.US meeting at the Golden Corral on
Saturday. Many friends from the UK and most of the local Amateur friends
were there as well. Mike Bauer, KK4ICA Cruiser and Ham, back in Canada had great
news for us, he sat his Amateur test in there and was top of the class. He
achieved 98% on his test and is now a advanced class Canadian Amateur operator
too.
May 4th, 2012: This weekend marks the 3rd week of exile from Old Town, there still hasn't been any
communications other than listed below. I will be running chronologically descending updates on this page until I re-open the internet pages of the
Cruise-In News.
Next Friday night we will probably attend the "2nd Friday of the month Cruise-In at Mill Creek Mall in Kissimmee". This is near the intersection of Vine Street and Michigan Ave. in Kissimmee. From 5:30 to 8:30.
April 23rd: Linda received this information in an email from Dave
“Everyone that was coming to the Wednesday show with "The Dukes", are still welcome as we are not changing anything. But they will have to re register with Old Town to be able to get in the cruise - o - matic.”
So take your vehicle and your dash card to secure your additional Old Town Registration and please pass the word around to those who might not use the internet. Thank you.
If you have a specific question about the Wednesday Little Darlin’s Cruise-In Registration email Dave direct dave@myoldtownusa.com
Keep hold of your dash card it is still valid for our Wednesday Nite Cruise-In (WNCI) and the Florida Antique & Classic Automobile Cruisers Association (F.A.C.A.C.A.). We are looking into location options for holding club meetings.
After nearly 10 years of unwavering dedication and positive reporting and promoting of Old Town and it's Cruises along with 4 years being the hosts of the Wednesday Nite Event.
As a reward for these services on April 14th, just after 2:00, I was summoned to the corporate office of
Old Town and met by 2 Osceola County Deputies and Dave, I was asked to
meet with Chris Spicer the General Manager of Old Town. He stated that
there would be no defending our actions or negotiations and that he was
tired of handling complaints about Linda & me so we were then
Trespassed, if we enter Old Town property we will be arrested.
As a result there will now longer be any new stories or photos from Old Town on this site, these promotions were voluntary and we decided that Old Town doesn't need to benefit from them.
If you wish to e-mail me or Linda just click on the signature, it will spawn your e-mail client.
